Then there are a few great driving destinations on the ocean as well, like San Carlos, Puerto Penasco, Ensenada and Rosarito Beach, Baja Mexico. Each city mentioned has a long list of reasons why visitors come back year after year. Cancun, Mexico, is famous for the gorgeous beaches that line the shores along the Caribbean. One of Acapulco’s most famous attractions is the brave cliff divers. Mazatlan, Mexico, is nestled between the warm blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged jungle terrain of the Sierra Madre Mountains. San Carlos, Mexico, is especially famous for the warm and clear waves of its ocean water. Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) is one of the most popular driving destinations with travelers from all over the world. Ensenada is host to many international events each year. Great Mexico Vacation Destinations

Some of the most memorable vacations I have taken have been traveling with my lovely wife of 8 years to various cities throughout Mexico, including San Carlos, Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) and Rosarito. Each location has a wonderful bit of history to share, and a very relaxed and welcome atmosphere. San Carlos, which has been described as “Sedona Arizona with an Ocean”, has a beautiful blend of surrounding mountains that dive right into the clear blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. The people are always so friendly, greeting you with a smile and a handshake. Puerto Penasco, commonly called Rocky Point, is a wonderful fishing village that boasts a variety of great local restaurants, wonderful resorts and beach homes for rent, and a large variety of ocean and land activities to choose from. This location is very popular with travelers from Arizona since it is only a 4 hour drive from Phoenix or Tucson to Puerto Penasco . Rocky Point has been nicknamed “Arizona’s Beach” for this very reason. Our third destination we mentioned is Rosarito, which is one of my personal favorites. My wife and I found such a rich history in Rosarito as we visited the local shops and restaurants and talked to some of the towns people, and everyone was so friendly and courteous. Vacations are meant to be a time of exploration and relaxation, enjoyed in a perfect balance together.

For those of us who live in California or Arizona homes but love to travel, Mexico is a great destination to add to your list of places to see. With so many popular destinations to choose from, such as Playa Del Carmen, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, San Carlos, Rocky Point, Ensenada and Rosarito, you truly have an endless supply of lodging, activities and attractions to enjoy. Many travelers make the yearly trek to their favorite Mexico Beach by car, bus, or by plane, depending on your travel needs and finances. Many of the cities mentioned have some wonderful attractions for travelers to enjoy. For example, just 3 miles from Rosarito, you will find the FoxPloration Film Studio in Baja where the filmed most of the award winning film Titanic by James Cameron. You can come and spend a day learning how movies are made, and you will see some movie history as well. As you begin your travels into Mexico, you will discover that there are so many wonderful destinations to enjoy along the way, you may find yourself stopping more than normal to visit these locations more thoroughly. The people are always so friendly and courteous to visitors, you may actually feel more like a part of the family. People have traveled throughout Mexico for many years now, enjoying the atmosphere, the wonderful company, and the easy way of life that we all need to enjoy once and a while.
